Why black and white?
Colours often fade, while existing in monochrome seems to prolong the transience of stolen moments. True essence evolving with beauty over time; whether the contrast is brutal or sharp, it all depends on the mental charge. Accentuated lines reveal faces that have lived, and eroded lands that still breathe. The armor that peels off after each battle, lost as won. Black and white photography transcends superficiality only to capture the essentials. Permanently.
Pourquoi le noir et blanc ?
Parce que souvent les couleurs se fadent alors qu'exister en monochrome, c'est prolonger la temporalité des ces instants volés. Une nature vraie qui s'embellit au fil des années. Un contraste brutal ou prononcé, tout dépend de la mentalité. Les lignes accentuées, de visages ayant vécu, de terres érodées. L'armure qui s'écaille après chaque bataille, perdue comme gagnée. Photographier en noir et blanc revient à dépasser toute superficialité pour n'en retenir que l'essentiel. À jamais.
